Healthcode toasts 25 years of tech innovation and announces NHS integration project

Healthcode celebrated their 25th birthday in style at their annual stakeholder event WAY25 (What A Year) and shared ambitious plans to take their online products and services to the next level in 2026 and beyond.

Healthcare industry leaders joined the online tech specialists for WAY25 at the ME Hotel in central London on Wednesday 17 December. As well as marking the milestones and highlights of Healthcode’s quarter century in business (click here to watch the video), Managing Director, Peter Connor explained how the company wanted to build on those achievements with more innovative solutions to support healthcare businesses, practitioners and their patients.

Guests heard about Healthcode’s transformation of ePractice into practice management system (PMS) which supports the whole patient journey. Going fully live in the first half of 2026, ePractice introduces clinical features including prescribing, care pathways and video consultations to support healthcare professionals, alongside back-office capabilities. Peter Connor also announced a new project to integrate ePractice with NHS systems to extend its reach to providers who offer services to NHS patients.

Peter Connor said: “There aren’t many tech companies that were founded in 2000 and are still thriving today but Healthcode continues to show year-on-year growth in our people, products and revenue. I’m convinced that the secret to our success is that we never rest on our laurels, whether that’s going the extra mile to offer great service or deploying the latest tech to make things better for healthcare businesses.

“The new ePractice and our roadmap for NHS integration are the next exciting chapter in our story. In an increasingly complex and data driven healthcare sector, we’ve deployed the latest advances in technology and design to make healthcare professionals’ lives easier, support growth and provide a better patient experience. We’re also using our expertise in interoperable systems and standards to pursue integration with NHS APIs so it’s possible to access features like ePractice digital prescribing in NHS settings.” Healthcode Chair, Romana Abdin added: “I’m so proud to be part of Healthcode and share in its success. It’s inspiring to see our talented and committed team achieving such great things for the healthcare sector, healthcare professionals and their patients.”
