2024 is on course to be another record year for private healthcare with a projected 11million insurer invoices processed by Healthcode’s Clearing Service, worth around £5billion to healthcare providers. This compares with 10.2million invoices worth around £4.5billion in 2023
Healthcode’s MD Peter Connor revealed the latest numbers to industry leaders at WAY24, the company’s annual stakeholder event on Tuesday 17 December at the Frameless immersive art experience in Marble Arch. As well as celebrating another busy 12 months in the private healthcare sector, guests heard about the latest developments at Healthcode and what to expect in 2025, including how it has been incorporating AI technology within its solutions with Healthcode Intelligence; the capabilities of Sentinus, the new suite of business intelligence reporting; and a sneak preview of the next generation of ePractice, its practice management solution.
Peter Connor commented: “A strong private healthcare sector is important for our country and Healthcode’s invoice activity data shows that providers carried out more high-quality investigations and treatment for patients in need during 2024. I’m proud of the part that our online products and services already play in that success but technology is rapidly increasing the scope of what we can offer healthcare businesses, from powerful performance insights using our data, to a leap forward in practice management software.
“Along with a brand-new user interface, the next generation of ePractice is set to transform the way our customers run their practices, clinics and hospitals with new end-to-end patient pathway management, electronic patient records, video consulting and prescribing capabilities. Utilising Healthcode Intelligence and fully integrated with our other solutions like ICE online appointment booking, ePractice will enable providers to manage the entire patient journey from one place and incorporates innovative features to help them carry out tasks safely and efficiently.
“We’re delighted to be working with customer partners on the new clinical management capabilities of ePractice to ensure they meet the real-world needs of healthcare providers and truly raise the bar for what we can achieve together.”
